throughout the world for amazing mountain scenery, the Colorado Rockies
are most spectacular in the San Juan Range. Price includes one half-day jeep tour and one full day jeep tour into the high meadows and mountain landscapes The workshop will end after our jeep tour on the last morning. |
This is a field workshop, and that's where
we'll do the majority of teaching.
Topics we'll cover include exposure for both film and digital, composition, close up and landscape photography techniques, filter usage, lens choices, and equipment. We'll also address Photoshop questions including blending two or more exposures to get one well exposed image. |
 *Note: Because of space limitations on the jeep
tours, we will be unable to accommodate traveling spouses during these
trips. Traveling spouses are, however, welcome at any of the other field
shoots. |
The price for this workshop is $995. Ouray, Colorado is located in
the heart of the San Juan Mountains and is called “The Switzerland of
America.” Snowcapped peaks and high mountain lakes, cascading waterfalls,
endless forests of conifers, and newly leafed-out aspen will
all be subjects for our cameras. Of course, July is flower time and
we’ll turn our lenses towards the amazing displays of color that fill the meadows and basins at this time. We’ll have several days of guided jeep
tours* to get us into the backcountry where nature’s displays of color will
blow your mind. Join us on this breathtaking field workshop. 
However,
we will try for at least a couple lecture/critique session.
